It was Francis Crick who walked into the Eagle Pub in Cambridge a little over 50 years ago and declared “We have found the secret of life.” What he and his colleagues had discovered was not DNA itself but that DNA had a “Double-helix” structure, two strands surrounding a single axis. Not only was the “code” of life functional but it was so beautiful.
I just had the privilege of reading “So Beautiful” by Leonard Sweet on behalf of The Ooze Viral Bloggers. In his book he proposes that like the three part “double-helix” structure of DNA that makes life possible, there are also three elements that make life with God so beautiful. He goes on to suggest that it is in the church that these elements are manifested. As the back cover of the book says: “So Beautiful” boldly declares God’s original plan for his church.
